Daily Sketch for 1/7/2014

"Black Fox"

This came from doodling. It turned out pretty well, I think. Almost looks like a logo. I might have to refine this later down the road.

"Sandwich Riding A Bicycle"

This one was suggested by Nicky Goodwin. It started out as a quick little sketch but rapidly turned into a fully-inked piece. It's easily my favorite thing that I've drawn this year so far. Great suggestion, Nicky!

If you have a suggestion for a daily sketch, let me know!

Hulk. He's always been one of the characters I'd love to master, but I have a long way to go...

Daily Sketch for 1/4/2014

Ten years ago today, I asked the cute girl I just met to be my girlfriend. And now we've been married for 3 and a half years.

This one's for you, babe.

Here's an updated version with inks:

This one is in honor of Super Cute co-creator and letterer, David Hopkins.

Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew). I love her character design but have rarely drawn her. Hopefully this represents one of several attempts to get her right. I drew this in a more traditional superhero style. I've been drawing everything so cartoony lately, I thought I'd change it up a little. This style definitely needs improvement, but hey, it's only Day 2 of 365, so I'm sure I'll have the opportunity.

Daily Sketch for 1/1/2014

It's been a while since I've posted on here, but seeing that's it's a brand new year, I thought I'd change that by doing a drawing a day for the next 365 days. Somedays the drawings may be more detailed than others, but as long as some type of artwork gets made, I'm counting it as a win. The main purpose of this is to focus myself on drawing more consistently and generally become a better artist.

Today's entry is of two of my favorite characters ever in the history of anything, Spider-Man and Raphael. They came out super cartoony, which is now my default art style after working on the webcomic Super Cute for so long.

I hope you'll check back regularly as the year progresses. Follow me on Twitter (@BrentHibbard) and let me know if there's anything you'd like to see!
